“As promised, please find attached some picture that I have taken over the last couple of days. As you can see we get a lot of sun. As a very first test of the product, late yesterday afternoon I went up in the loft on the south west corner to touch the underside of the roof and it was COOL to the touch. I mean no warmth at all. In fact, the entire loft area was very comfortable. I am most anxious to start the monitoring process of the electrical consumption, but that will have to wait another month. I live in a 100 year old house in the heart of the heat & humidity zone…Typically the 2nd story has run anywhere from 5 to 20 degrees hotter than the 1st floor. On July 4th 2000 I installed Econo-E in my attic over the existing cellulose insulation in place…On July 6th, the temperature upstairs was the same as the downstairs. “I am writing to let you know about the success we had using your Low-E insulation. We needed to insulate a machine that heats Ethylene Glycol up 300° F. The machine consists of a heating core and multiple circulation pipes. I wanted a product that was a good heat shield, cost effective and easy to apply. Low-E was all three. Before we applied Low-E, it took 3 ½ to 4 hours to bring our equipment to temperature, now it takes one hour…You were very helpful both in your product knowledge and in getting the product we needed quickly. I recommend Low-E to anyone.”

    We have used Low-E™ insulation on many projects. Low-E has impressed us every single time. Low-E helps us in many ways:
  • 1) Low-E™ does an excellent job reflecting heat away from the interior of the building. The difference between fiberglass insulation and Low-E is noticeable in this regard…The Low-E™ (installed between the roof panels and the purlins) significantly blocks the heat transfer from the roof to the purlin.”
  • 2)Low-E™ is easy to install (much easier than fiberglass). It can easily be pulled tight between purlins. There are no itchy fibers and it is more durable than vinyl backed fiberglass. Installation time has improved on our projects using Low-E.”
  • 3) Another great benefit is that Low-E™ is an excellent vapor barrier. The foil facing and the polyethylene foam perform very well in controlling moisture. Low-E™ is not easily damaged during installation, which is another plus in its role as a vapor barrier…”

When the E.J. Davis Company presented us with the idea of using a combination insulation system utilizing 6” of fiberglass and ESP® Low-E reflective insulation we had a hard time believing it would work. We liked the idea of saving energy but the thin layer of material seemed unlikely to work and we were not totally convinced of the annual savings versus a fiberglass only system. After experiencing the system for a full year, in an environment of rising energy costs, we now know it was well worth the additional insulation cost and will pay for itself in a very short time. The utility usage is significantly less than our other building of the same size…We would highly recommend this insulation system to others…and we would not even consider constructing another building without ESP® Low-E installed in it.” 78,000 sq. ft Sports Complex.
